YOUTH
PROGRAMS

For many years, the American Global Institute (AGI) has sponsored and supported youth programs that bring emerging leaders from Africa, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and Abraham Accords countries to the United States for intensive educational and cultural experiences.

Typically lasting approximately two weeks, these programs give young participants firsthand exposure to American society and institutions through visits to colleges and universities, courts and judicial institutions, government and civic organizations, international institutions, and the United Nations. Participants also engage with academics, professionals, community leaders, and public officials.

The programs are designed to introduce young leaders to American democracy, education, leadership, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and the rule of law, while creating opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange and dialogue.

AGI has conducted these initiatives in partnership with organizations including Tamkeen in Bahrain, Ministries of Youth, and other institutions across participating countries.

At the heart of the program is people-to-people engagement—giving young people the opportunity to experience the United States firsthand, build lasting relationships, and develop into future leaders who can strengthen understanding and cooperation between the United States and their countries.
